In this short film from The Hire series, the driver rescues a mysterious messenger carrying an even more mysterious briefcase after an ambush on a rural highway. As a helicopter gunman relentlessly pursues them, a game of political intrigue plays out, with an unforeseen ending.
This episode features a BMW Z4 3.0i (E85) and stars Don Cheadle and F. Murray Abraham. It also has cameos by Ray Liotta, Robert Patrick, Clifton Powell and Dennis Haysbert as US agents. It was written and directed by Joe Carnahan. I remember watching it for the first time 20 years ago. Now there is a new, higher quality version of it online. Check out the 4K remaster here.
